EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN

' The education is the essence for the empowerment '

Working for the development of the less privileged has always been an important aspect of this organization. From 1977 we started to work among the tribal children of Bastar Division. We promote education of poor children in and through various ways, such as adult education through skill training for school dropouts, Charvaka School for children who take care of animals. Balpanchayat programme for government village school children. Hostel facilities and nutritious food programme for children who lives in the dense forest areas. Special care is given to children who live in the left-wing affected area. BDKS is committed to provide education and healthcare to the underprivileged poor tribal children. BDKS believes that if we want to overcome poverty, healthcare-issues, anti-Nationalism, etc. there’s no other good place to start with than the corridors of education.

BDKS working in the Bastar Division of Chhattisgarh state plays an important role in supporting tribal education, and the most vulnerable children access their right to education through innovative ideas such as forming student parliament, student leadership programme, and awareness programme for parents to motivate them to send their children to school.

BDKS education initiatives include tuition centers for school dropouts, pre-schools, non-formal education, and bridge course for children who are under privileged due to various circumstances like left-wing problems, slum children, child labor and children with disabilities. Special emphasis is given to girls’ education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered.
