Presently BDKS activities are spread over about 240 villages through 21 sub-centres of BDKS in 5 districts of Bastar division and Koraput district in Odisha state. The total population covered is approximately 10,440 households with a total of 46,776 population.
 
															 
															Tribals and Dalits and other weaker sections such as Women, Children and youth, landless, marginal and small farmers and Persons with disabilities constitute the target population.
BDKS has been working in the Bastar division in Chhattisgarh state for the last 45 years, enjoys a good reputation and has funding from several international and national agencies for different projects. Presently BDKS has a total staff of 35 full-time (Men – 16 & women – 19) and 15 (men-6 + women – 9) village-level volunteers. All the staff members are experienced and committed to the development of the target community. BDKS has set up a very efficient and decentralized management system. It has developed its HR policy, Child Protection policy, Gender and Finance policies etc., and is put into practice within the organization and its operational areas.

Bastar Dharma Kshema Samiti’s (BDKS) main office is located at Jagdalpur town, the district headquarter of Bastar district. The Office building is owned by the Nirmal Province of the Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). BDKS has got its own field office (Santom Bhavan) at village Kapsi, Kolibada Block, Kanker Dt. The head office at Jagdalpur will be used as co-ordinating office for all the projects, including the proposed one.
The organization possesses necessary office equipment/items like 1 four-wheeler, 6 two-wheelers, 6 desktop computers, 2 printers, 2- old LCD projectors, and minimum basic furniture and fixtures. Most of these items/equipment were procured under the ongoing and completed projects.
