On 9th December 2021 Bishiop Josph Kollamparambil blessed the new Skill Training Center supported by MISEREOR Germany. The C.M.I. Vicar General Fr. Jossey Thamarasserry CMI , Fr. Provincial and good number of people were present on this occasion. Special thanks to Fr. Jossey , Fr. Thomas KD and Fr Titus for their support and hard work.
On 13th of December , in memory of late Fr.Thomas Vadaparambil a C.M.I. Association of cycle Rikshaw pullers was formed . At present 33 Rikshaw pullers have registered in the Association, and BDKS. BDKS is providing possible support to the members.
On the occasion of Christmas around 50 pastors gathered together at Sangam Bhavan. They shared their experiences and conducted one hour prayer.
In collaboration with Orien Education Society Kolkata, BDKS has started Skill Training Programme. At present we have started five trades. One hundred and sixteen youth are getting training.
With the support of FVTRS BENGALURU, around 45 school dropouts got training in different skills. Certificates were distributed to all of them. Now B.D.K.S. is trying to place them in different sectors.
Kidermission Project is functioning well at different places. This year 160 students are getting training.
A number of activities are going on in Mardoom area, with the support of Manos Unidas. 35 SHG’s are functioning well, and are trying to get government schemes with the support of NRLM.
We have constructed and blessed one house at Kapsi for a poor family, and have provided support to construct two more houses in two other different places. Special thanks to Fr.Boban C.M.I. and Fr Bijoy for the timely support and guidance.
