Bastar Dharma Kshema Samiti Society emerged as the outcome of the rich experience of CMI fathers in the field of social work among the tribal's and deprived section of the people for the past four decades at Bastar division of Chhattisgarh. In the middle of seventies CMI priests ventured to the remote and isolated villages of Bastar. They understood the real need of the people and poor
condition of the life of tribal people. In order to wipe away the tears of the people, they started a mission of development focusing on the upliftment of rural poor in different ways such as education, agricultural assistance for the sustainable income generation, providing employment in the rural areas and training for youth to make use of job opportunities, skill training for the youth and deprived people.
To sustain this mission, it was expedient to mobilize the local resources from the government, well-wishers and non-government agencies and to get access to various welfare and development schemes. In view of fulfilling the mission of Nirmal Province, Bastar Dharma Kshema Samiti (A Righteous welfare Society) registered in the year of 1977. Now Bastar Dharma Kshema Samiti became one of the leading NGO of Chhattisgarh and extended the service of the society to North Chhattisgarh and Orissa.
Now I extend to thank all the staff and benefactors, who are backbone of BDKS. With lot of love and thanks I submit this annual Report for further enhancement and collaboration to achieve the new heightsin the service of needy people of this country.
