Bastar Dharma Kshema samiti (BDKS) was established in the year 1977 by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate fathers of Nirmal Province, Jagdalpur the first indigenous congregation of India. Looking into the plight of poor tribal of the area, BDKS set out to work for the marginalized especially tribal of Chhattisgarh State, India.
